Snow Hill, MD – The indoor track and batting cage at the Worcester County Recreation Center will be unavailable to walkers from Tuesday, September 8, through approximately mid- to late October while Worcester County Recreation and Parks (WCRP) completes an HVAC replacement project.
During construction, walkers may use the area inside the dasher boards during standard operating hours when programs are not scheduled:
- Monday–Friday: 6–8 a.m.
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday: 1–3 p.m.
- September 12 and 19: 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
- September 26: 11 a.m.–3 p.m.
- Thursdays: No afternoon walking
- Sundays: No walking due to scheduled programs
Additional times may become available on short notice depending on facility use. Walkers are encouraged to call 410-632-2144 to confirm availability.
Residents may also use the new 1.2-mile walking trail at John Walter Smith Park during the construction period.
